How Deano's Pieces Are Sourced
Talking Points is deliberately not a stats preview — it's the pub conversation before kick-off. But "chatty" doesn't mean "made up." Every piece follows the same rules:
- Every talking point starts from a real, dated news search on that exact fixture — never a generic template filled in with guesses.
- Every fact, name, quote or stat in the piece has to trace back to something actually written in one of those search results — nothing is added because it sounds plausible.
- Every point links straight to its source, so you can go and read the original report yourself.
- Deano never touches the stats model, the odds, or the pick — if you want the numbers, that's the match preview written by the fixture's assigned writer, linked from every Talking Points piece.
- If a fixture simply hasn't generated enough genuine news that day, no piece gets published for it. A quiet news day means no Talking Points article — not a padded one.
