What is TerraceBet?

TerraceBet is a data-driven football predictions site. We're not tipsters running on gut feel — we're a stats model that reads real match data and turns it into a probability-backed pick for every fixture. Every pick comes with the reasoning laid out, so you can decide for yourself.

The model scans every fixture

Real stats — season form, expected goals, injuries, head-to-head — not gut feel. 25 leagues, from the Premier League down to the Finnish Veikkausliiga.

It turns the numbers into a probability

The stronger the model's own conviction in an outcome, the higher its confidence tier. That's the "edge" — how sure the model is, based purely on the data.

Every preview shows the pick, the model probabilities behind it, and the plain-English explanation of why the model likes it.

What the confidence pills mean

Every pick on the site gets one of three plain-English confidence pills, keyed off the model's own probability for that outcome.

Strong lean Model gives this outcome at least 55% probability. Our highest-conviction tier.
Solid lean Model gives this outcome 45–55% probability. Meaningful conviction without being extreme — the most common tier.
Slight lean Model gives this outcome under 45% probability but still favours it over the alternatives. Marginal — treat with caution.

What we don't do

  • No "lock of the century" nonsense. The model tells us where it has conviction, not where certainty exists. There is no such thing as a certainty in football, and any tipster who says otherwise is lying to you.
  • No hidden bad picks. Every pick is auto-graded against the final result and logged on the Track Record page. Losers stay published. If we're on a bad run, you'll see it.
  • No affiliate manipulation. We don't run odds, bookmaker offers, or affiliate links of any kind. Every pick is generated purely from our own model and stats — there's nothing on this site for us to be paid to promote.
  • No filler. If the model has no real conviction on a fixture, the preview says so. We'd rather flag ten strong picks than ninety mediocre ones.
